Engineering surveys are a set of studies conducted to assess the current state and forecast possible environmental changes under the influence of man-made influence in order to prevent and reduce harmful, dangerous environmental consequences and preserve optimal environmental conditions in the area of planned construction or on the territory of an existing development.
Engineering surveys are the general meaning of various forms of research, among which our team can implement the following areas:
- engineering and geodetic surveys (IGDI) — a set of works aimed at obtaining information about the terrain and the situation of the terrain; serves as the basis for design, and for conducting other types of surveys and surveys;
- engineering and geological surveys (IGI) — a set of actions aimed at studying the site of new construction or reconstruction in order to obtain data on the geological structure, composition and capacity of engineering and geological layers, physical and mechanical properties of soils, the level of groundwater and groundwater;
- engineering and environmental surveys (IEI) – studies carried out to study and assess the engineering and environmental conditions of the territory (water area, area, site, site, route, including the impact zone), forecasting possible changes in engineering and environmental conditions, justifying measures to protect the environment and prevent negative impacts on human living conditions and the habitat of plants and animals.
Surveys are mandatory for obtaining permits for construction and reconstruction. In accordance with the norms of current legislation, including SP 446.1325800.2019, the period of relevance of the results of engineering surveys has a limitation:
- geodetic surveys – 2 years;
- geological surveys for built–up and undeveloped areas – 2 and 5 years, respectively;
- environmental surveys for built–up and undeveloped areas – 1-5 and 1-10 years, respectively.
Engineering surveys for construction are an obligatory part of urban planning activities, providing a comprehensive study of the natural conditions of the territory (region, district, site, site, highway) and factors of man—made impact on the territory of capital construction projects to solve the following tasks:
- determination of the possibility of building an object, the optimal location of construction sites (routes), the establishment of land boundaries;
- establishment of functional zones, development of a territory planning project, an urban planning plan and a land surveying project;
- creation of geodetic and planned high-altitude justification, topographic survey and tracing of linear structures;
- assessment of the degree of manifestation of dangerous engineering-geological processes, such as subsidence of ground soil mass, formation of landslides, erosion, flooding and preparation of engineering protection measures;
- assessment of the aggressiveness of soils, ground water and atmospheric phenomena to the construction materials used;
- assessment of the technical condition of the soils of the foundations of existing foundations, determination of the sufficiency of the bearing capacity, selection of a safe and optimal type of foundation of the projected building or methods of strengthening the existing foundation;
- geodetic reference of geological workings, hydrological lines, points of geophysical exploration;
- monitoring and executive survey of the spatial position of structures and elevations during construction or operation;
- analysis of the level of impact of natural and man-made phenomena on the environment and living organisms (heavy elements and carbon compounds, electromagnetic fields and radiation, light and noise pollution).
Engineering surveys are the primary stage and the basis for the development of project documentation, the selection and preparation of the development area, as well as special conditions for the implementation of the project. The results of engineering surveys are necessary to ensure the safety of the projected capital construction projects, to exclude damage to the environment, health and life of citizens.
OUR EXPERIENCE IN RESEARCH
The procedure for conducting engineering surveys:
- collection and familiarization with archived source data;
- preparation and coordination of the work program with the Customer and the supervisory authorities of the construction region;
- opening of an excavation order and other approvals (if necessary);
- geodetic / engineering topographic survey of land plots;
- well drilling, groundwater level measurement, sampling;
- tests by static and dynamic sensing methods, stamp and pressiometric studies;
- plugging / liquidation of wells;
- laboratory tests of all selected samples.

Based on the results of the engineering surveys, a technical report is being developed containing a full description of the studied conditions of the territory, conclusions and recommendations based on the results of the surveys and graphic materials in accordance with the Civil Code of the Russian Federation No. 190-FZ of 29.12.2004, RF PP No. 20 of 19.01.2006 and SP 47.13330.2016.
The reporting technical materials are fully accompanied to obtain a positive expert opinion, after which they are sent to the archive of the Geonadzor department of the region in which the surveys are conducted.
The cost of engineering surveys depends on the task and objectives, accessibility and characteristics of the facility.
Over the years of his professional activity, EUCLID has collected a significant amount of statistical data on the labor costs of the work performed as part of the research. Based on the information received and systematized, we have developed a unique service calculator that allows us to determine the optimal cost for most of our Customers. The calculator takes into account many different indicators that affect the applied coefficients in relation to the cost of various stages of work.
EUCLID strives to select the optimal set of services for its clients, contributing to the achievement of high-quality results and effective indicators at a reasonable cost level and meeting deadlines. A flexible system of cumulative discounts is provided for our regular partners, which can reach up to 30%.
